Lentils (Daal) are very important for vegetarian meals. In India, daal is a staple diet. Daals are rich in protein, folic acids, fibers, and they are also rich in minerals.

The use of lentils is versatile. They can be used in soup preparations, snacks (veggie kebabs...), salads, as a stuffing of Indian bread (paratha/kachuri) etc. They can also be served as a main course and there is a huge range of Indian desserts made out of lentils/pulses. In Indian cuisine dals are used a lot. Here we will make a sta variety of dal based starters, saalads, main course, desserts etc..
