Roasted Peanuts

Peanuts are good source of Protein; they are rich in magnesium, copper and iron too. This is a very simple recipe of roasted peanuts.

Roasted Peanuts

(serves 4)

  • Raw peanuts 1 ½ cups
  • Sendha Namak (rock salt) ½ tsp
  • Oil/ghee 1½ tsp

Method of preparation

  1. Heat oil/ghee in a skillet, add peanuts. Fry  peanuts on medium heat for about 15 minutes.
  2. Add salt and mix well. Turn off the heat. Keep aside the peanuts to cool down.

Serve roasted peanuts with hot Tea.

Raw peanuts are easily available in Indian stores, though I haven’t seen them in local supermarkets.
